Wendy was born in the small sleepy university town of Potchefstroom in South Africa, moving to the kingdom of Swaziland at the age of four.  Her childhood and adolescent years were spent in this tiny kingdom and perhaps the African influence in her work may be attributed to this.  She studied English and Music at the University of Witwaterstrand, SA, in Johannesburg and subsequently obtained a post graduate degree in Clinical Psychology.  She completed her post-graduate studies in Psychology in New York enrolling in art courses in Manhattan at the same time, which triggered her life long passion and interest in art.  She started sculpting in 1988 when she moved to England.  Wendy had her first exhibition in 1992 in London.  Following this she has exhibited widely across England and America.  In 1995, Wendy exhibited at The David Stern Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel.
