| Belinda Rushjansen was born in London in 1960 and moved to Scotland at a young age where she lived in a small croft on the Black Isle. She is best known for her sculptures of animals influenced from her childhood. From 1980-1983 she studied at the Edinburgh College of Art where she specialised in clay and stone carving. Throughout her time as a student she was held in high regard by those around her and this was confirmed by her award for Best Female Sculptor for her production of 'Chettle Cow'. Belinda received high praise from Vincent Butler RSA.
She now lives in Wiltshire where she continues her work using the mediums of stone and bronze. A great many of her pieces are to be found in public buildings and private collections around the world. |
